The hospital figures are CPT 70551, brain MRI without contrast, taken from each hospital's own federal transparency file and attributed to the date that file carries. A further 1 hospital publishes a “cash price” that is its chargemaster restated rather than a discount, reaching $2,126; those are kept out of the band above and counted here instead.
