Price context: a single-region MRI in Idaho runs $500 to $1,300 cash at a freestanding centre, which is our own estimate. At hospitals it is measured, not estimated: a brain MRI runs $851 to $1,691 cash, median $1,595 against a median gross charge of $1,874, from 6 of the 15 Idaho hospitals whose own price files we have read, out of 16 in the state, files dated to September 2026.
